Vodafone Deactivated 17 Year Mobile Number
We have been loyal customers with Vodafone/ Hutch/ Essar for the last 17 years until last week when to our surprise we found that they deactivated one of number 9811060666 activated in 1995 due to in activity policy.
We have been complaining of no network connectivity our at residence to Vodafone Nodal Office for the last two years. And till date have got no resolution for the concern. Hence, our oldest mobile connection fell prey.
The deactivated number was with my mother (a house wife) who is most of time at home because of which there was very little or at times no usage on the number.
On 21-May-12, when we visited the Vodafone Store, the executive (Mr. Pankaj S Dangwal) told us that the number has been deactivated on & took the necessary documents for verification and assistance on the re-activation of the number as he could still see the number registered in my name.
At the same time, he assured that he would revert to us on alternate contact numbers or on email updating us the status by the day's end i.e, 21-May-12. For 3days we did not get any revert from the executive.
Next on 25-May-12, when we revisited the Vodafone Store we were taken by utter shock as the executive told us that number got activated on 21-May-12 itself.
We were surprised by his comment, as till our visit to the outlet on 21-May-12 4:00PM we could very well see the number registered in our name & as we informed them about the deactivation; the got activated.
Since then we have been trying to call on the number but it still plays the Temporary Suspension message. Hence, here we smell a foul play on Vodafone's Part as they would have deliberately deactivated this number merely to earn Premium by selling it as a VIP Number.
Further, we would like to update that we re-visited the Vodafone Store today 31-May-12 & still the number has not been allotted to anybody. Therefore, we address our concern to this Consumer Court Forum with a believe of getting assistance in re-activating our oldest contact/ mobile number from Vodafone.
